As members were preparing for the scheduled duty crew, Sussex alerted Sta. 85, 75 (Ellendale), 82 (Lewes) and Medic 111 for a residential structure fire on N. Park Ave. off of Front St. 85-8 with Asst. Chief Millman (85-18) arrived within a minute of dispatch to find a small fire on the exterior of a home. Engine-Tanker 85-2 (staffed duty engine) arrived right behind 85-8. The Engine Tanker crew stretched an 1 3/4 inch and extinguished the fire on the exterior of the building. Ladder 85 arrived next and checked for extension and completed primary and secondary searches. Command scaled the response back to the Milton units and Engine Tanker 82-4. Units remained on scene for a few minutes completing overhaul and packing up. The occupant was checked by EMS and refused service.
