At 1321, Sussex alerted Station 85 along with Lewes (82), Ellendale (75) and Memorial (89) for a house fire on Front Street, just outside of town limits. 85-8 and Engine-Tanker 85 arrived within a minute to find a single family home with a burning odor reported by the homeowner. Crews from the Engine-Tanker stretched a line and checked the home. Engine 82-2 arrived and their crew assisted with checking the interior of the home. Crews found no smoke or fire, and no odors upon fire department arrival. Command placed the scene under control and returned all units.
